Where do we serve?
The programs that we offer address the needs that are most present in Passaic County. These include services such as food pantry, pastoral care, and youth ministries. We serve individuals and families in need residing in Bellair, Elmwood Park, Fairlawn, Haledon, Hawthorne, Little Falls, Mountain View, North Haledon, Paterson, Prospect Park, Totowa, Wayne, and West Paterson.
The Salvation Army feeds an average of 156,000 every single day in the U.S.
In addition to addressing the immediate symptoms of food insecurity, our programs are designed to help identify and treat its root cause. This approach focuses on meeting the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of each person and helps move many from hungry to fully healed.

The Salvation Army in Paterson offers worship services every Sunday. Due to COVID-19 we are currently holding our holiness meeting at 10 AM virtually through Facebook Live. Sunday school has been temporarily suspended due to the pandemic.
Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM we offer a food pantry as well as other social services. We also host a diaper bank. To schedule an appointment please call (973) 790-4817.

Reading the Bible and discussing the lessons and applications in today's world is an important part of fellowship and drawing closer to God. Bible studies are offered on Thursdays at 6:00 PM.
We host prayer meetings on Fridays at 1:00 PM. Join us in fellowship with God.
From July through August we host Summer Day Camp for 6 weeks. The program runs from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. We also send a number of children to Camp Tecumseh for a total of 5-7 days. Camp Tecumseh is The Salvation Army of New Jersey's summer camp located in Pittstown, NJ. For more information on Camp Tecumseh click here.
We offer Christmas Toy Assistance by application during the last two weeks in September and the month of October by appointment only. Our Toy Distribution dates are December 16, 18, and 23rd.
Ministry groups provide opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship. The groups plan projects, events, retreats and experiences to improve their communities and promote a closeness to God.

We offer a variety of programs for the youth in our area including the chance to take part in our yearly summer camp at Camp Tecumseh in Pittstown, New Jersey.
