Family Stories

Every Family Has a Story

We hold the families we serve close in our hearts. Seeing their smiles and knowing a child is safe and loved is incredibly rewarding. Whether they have been adopted by their forever family, reunified with their birth family after foster care, or helped through one of our support programs, we find great joy in their stories, and hope you will, too.

Brittany and her husband Joe chose The Salvation Army to guide them through the process of adoption.

When Michele and her family struggled to meet the needs of the son they adopted internationally, they found hope and healing through The Salvation Army's HALO Project program.

When Christine and her husband were looking to expand their family, The Salvation Army Children's Services helped them connect with a child and guide them through the adoption process.

For foster teen Aaliyah, it often felt like no one was in her corner. It wasn't until The Salvation Army connected her with her foster mom, Laura, that she felt truly supported.

"I love the family feel to being a part of The Salvation Army."

"All of the workers I've come in contact with have been so understanding, great coaches, and want the best for us (resource parents and children in care).” - Jaime M., Foster Parent
