The Salvation Army provides spiritual services to anyone God brings across our path
At its heart, The Salvation Army is a church. This foundation is what motivates us to do the work that we do.
We love God and serve others because of His love for all. That’s where our mission comes from – to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet needs in His name without discrimination. We want to introduce the love of God into the lives of those most in need, as we care for them physically, emotionally and spiritually. We do this by offering free prayer, Bible-based ministries for all ages, and Sunday worship.
Worship and Programs
The Salvation Army in Scranton is a church to the local community, as well as place anyone in need can receive help with a wide range of social services.
Sunday Worship Programs
Whether church is already part of your life or you are experiencing faith for the first time, you are always welcome. Our weekly service takes place every Sunday at 11:00 AM. Transportation is available on an as-available basis; please call (570) 969-6399 by the Thursday before to coordinate a ride.
Sunday School takes place at 10:00 AM.
Únase a nosotros los domingos por la mañana para nuestro servicio de adoración matutino a las 11:00 AM. El transporte se proporciona según disponibilidad. Llame al (570) 969-6399 antes del jueves si no tiene su propio medio de transporte y necesita que lo lleven.
La escuela dominical se lleva a cabo a las 10:00 AM.
Weekday Ministries
On Tuesday nights, we hold a weekly Bible Study that meets at 5:00 PM. Then at 6:00 PM, Women’s Ministry Group and Men’s Ministry Group meet. Transportation is available for departure to home.
On Thursday, we have Senior Music Programs for members of the congregation. For more information on these programs and services, please call our offices at (570) 969-6399.
Los martes por la noche, llevamos a cabo un estudio bíblico semanal que se reúne a las 5:00 p. m. Luego, a las 6:00 p. m., se reúnen el Grupo de Ministerio de Mujeres y el Grupo de Ministerio de Hombres. El transporte está disponible para la salida a casa.
