Back-to-school season is just around the corner, and The Salvation Army West Chester is proud to help prepare local kids for the upcoming academic year. We work with the community to collect school supplies, so that students have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. Last year, we were able to provide 48 backpacks to children in need and we are hoping to surpass 50 backpacks this year!

How to Sign Up

Parents should come in person to 101 East Market St West Chester PA 19382 to sign up their children. The application is very brief, only asking the grade and gender of the student so we know what supplies are needed. Sign ups are open until August 2nd. Pick up for the school supplies will be during the day of August 16th.

How to Donate Supplies

The process for donors participating in our Back to School program will be different from previous years. Instead of just donating school supplies at random, each donor will adopt a student. You will be given the age and gender of the student and then a list of the school supplies that they will need to have a successful school year. Donor drop off for school supplies will begin and go on throughout the week of August 9th.
