Smiles Make the Greatest Gifts

Providing physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance,
to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions.

Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system.

The holidays bring added financial and emotional stress to families and individuals living in poverty. From gifts for children in need to special meals for those who would otherwise go without fellowship on the holidays and meeting other basic needs - we aim to bring joy back into the season.

Christmas Assistance

Are you a Herkimer County resident in need of assistance this Christmas? If you have a child 12 years old or younger you can apply for assistance with food and toys.
If you do not have any children 12 and under, you can apply for assistance with food only.

The application deadline is October 31.

(If you have applied at another agency for Christmas assistance you will not be eligible)
