Salvation Army NJ Helping the Bloomfield Community

Sep 11, 2021 | by TAPinto Bloomfield Staff

From TAPinto Bloomfield:

This week, the Salvation Army NJ and the Bloomfield Division of Public Safety worked together to help Bloomfield residents after Hurricane Ida.

As of Friday, Bulk deliveries of cleanup kits (408), food boxes (120), and comfort kits (120) were provided to residents in the hardest hits areas of Bloomfield following Tropical Storm Ida.

“We were grateful for the opportunity to assist the town of Bloomfield, which was so devastated by Ida’s impacts. In this and many more communities across New Jersey, The Salvation Army will continue to provide whatever resources we can to those who have lost so much. We have heard countless stories of perseverance and resilience, and we’re honored to be in a position to come alongside our neighbors in such a challenging time,” said Seth Ditmer, Director of Emergency Disaster Services, New Jersey Division, The Salvation Army.
