Final Days for Families in Need to Sign Up for The Salvation Army's Holiday Assistance

Nov 2, 2026

CLEVELAND, OH (November 2nd, 2026) – The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland is committed to making the holidays special for thousands of children and families in need by helping ensure presents are under the Christmas tree. Families seeking Christmas assistance for children 12 and younger are warmly invited to register at any Cleveland Salvation Army Corps Community Center. To make support easier to access, The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance program now also offers a simple online application at SAAngelTree.org. Registration ends this Friday, November 6th, 2026.

“Christmas is such an important time in a child's development. We’ve seen that opening a toy on Christmas morning can boost a child’s self-esteem, academic performance, and social interactions. We’re excited to introduce a new online format to expand the support we can offer in Cuyahoga County,” stated Captain Joel Ashcraft, Area Commander of The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland.

After registering for the program, families will be assigned a date and time to pick up toys. Last year, the Christmas Distribution program assisted more than 2,800 families and provided toys to more than 6,300 children.
