What: The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland is keeping life better with Christmas cheer for thousands of families and children throughout Cuyahoga County. Beginning on Friday, December 15th, and continuing through Wednesday, December 22nd, all five Corps Community Centers will be distributing toys and food to pre-registered families. This year, The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland saw a 50% increase in Christmas assistance requests for 2023. Specifically, the Miles Park area saw a massive spike of 115% increase and will serve 800 more children than last year.

Why: The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland has a strong Christmas Assistance campaign to ensure that families receive toys under the tree and food for a Christmas meal. During the distributions at our West Park and East Cleveland locations, families will also experience the festivities of the holiday through the availability of gift-wrapping stations, hot chocolate bars, and so much more.
