Alleviate Hunger

Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.

Sallie's Choice Food Pantry

Mon, Wed and Friday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Clients can get food once a month and are able to choose their own groceries. Pantry includes fresh proteins and culturally sensitive options. Please call to make an appointment: (207) 774-4172

Holy Grounds

Each morning, 7:00 am - 10:00 am Monday-Friday, the “Holy Grounds” window is serviced by a few volunteers, including beneficiaries from the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Portland.

“Holy Grounds” started slowly, with just 10 or 20 people, but word quickly spread, and the ministry now averages more than 200 coffee drinkers a day.

With every cup of coffee comes a chance to pray, talk and connect people to our other services.
