Your support is vital. The money that is raised locally stays locally and goes directly to serve our Connecticut neighbors in need. The money raised not only helps during Christmas and Thanksgiving, but also sustains vital programs and services throughout the year.”

The Salvation Army in Rhode Island has set the Red Kettle fundraising goal of $225,000. Major Roger Duperree, Divisional Secretary for Rhode Island State Command said, “We are thankful for the generosity and support of our neighbors and friends, and to all those who support us year after year. Your support is vital. The money that is raised locally stays locally and goes directly to serve our Rhode Island neighbors in need. The money raised not only helps during Christmas and Thanksgiving, but also sustains vital programs and services throughout the year.”

Fundraising for the holidays began nationally on September 16th, 100 days before Christmas Day with The Salvation Army’s Hope Marches On campaign. Red Kettle donations support a variety of programs and services throughout the year including food, rental assistance, utility assistance, as well as Christmas toys and holiday food baskets.
