Jim Scott: Doing the Most Good as a Volunteer

Jim Scott is a name that is well-known in the Cincinnati area as a popular radio personality who spent over four decades entertaining listeners on local airwaves. However, many people may not know that Jim has also been a dedicated volunteer with The Salvation Army since 2014, using his platform to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

The Salvation Army: Viviane's Story

Viviane has grown a lot through her time serving at our Port Chester Community Center. You can find her helping out in the food pantry, teaching after school program activities and even leading worship on Sunday mornings! We're grateful for local leaders like Viviane who uplift our neighbors every week.

Longtime Salvation Army Volunteer, Rick Reinhardsen, is Prepared to Weather the Storm

Rick Reinhardsen, a longtime volunteer with The Salvation Army Massachusetts Division, has weathered a lot of storms in his 52 years on Martha’s Vineyard and as a former Sea Captain in the U.S. Merchant Marine; however, he never encountered turmoil such as unfolded during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike the hurricanes, winter storms, or Nor’easters that Reinhardsen has responded to, the coronavirus’ point of impact was unpredictable and relentless.
