Celebrate Hope Luncheon Honorees Announced

Philadelphia (March 19, 2019) – Each year, The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia’s Celebrate Hope luncheon honors individuals and organizations that demonstrate exceptional altruism. We are proud to announce the honorees of the 2019 luncheon, which is set for Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Crystal Team Room.

The Salvation Army’s “Doing The Most Good” award recipient is Bill Ryan, Assistant Vice President of Government Relations & Public Affairs, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, along with his Government Relations team.  The “Doing The Most Good” award is named for the distinguished men, women and organizations whose direction and compassion reflect The Salvation Army’s mission.

Susan Jacobson, President, Jacobson Strategic Communications, will receive The Salvation Army’s Others award, presented for her extraordinary spirit of service to “others,” and exceptional service to the community.

The Celebrate Hope luncheon draws hundreds of members of the community to celebrate more than 150 years of global service to those in need, raise awareness of its local programs and services, and to honor those dedicated to community service and the betterment of the City of Philadelphia. This year’s Celebrate Hope Luncheon also coincides with National Salvation Army Week, which was first declared by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1954 to recognize the humanitarian efforts of The Salvation Army.
