Salvation Army Looks Back on 2023’s Celebrate Hope Annual Luncheon
With 2024’s Annual Celebrate Hope Luncheon just around the corner (next Wednesday on May 15th!), we’re reminiscing about last year’s event and all the joy we experienced celebrating with our partners and friends.
Our fundraising goal was $300,000 – the largest goal we had ever set for ourselves – and we were so excited and grateful that not only did we reach this goal, but our partners helped us exceed it by raising $319,000!
Each year, The Salvation Army Philadelphia recognizes community leaders with an outstanding commitment to giving back, and 2023 was no different. The Salvation Army honored Steve Fera (Independence Blue Cross), Romona Riscoe Benson (PECO), and Sheryl Lee Ralph (Actress) and Senator Vincent Hughes (PA).
The event brought together Philadelphia business leaders and government dignitaries for an afternoon of food, fellowship and education. The crowd was even treated to a brief vocal performance by Mrs. Lee Ralph!
