Who we Are

Since 1900 the Sunbury office of The Salvation Army we look to provide an opportunity for every member and household of our community to have an equal chance at success. We provide an array of services to our community; from Summer, youth, and adult programs to veterans' assistance, we are here to help. Our programs and services are available to anyone living within the Shamokin, Shikellamy, and Southern Columbia school districts.

Major Tammy Hench

With a total of 22 years of service to The Salvation Army, Major Hench is a loving person with a focus on the community, family, and kids. Appointed to Sunbury in 2021, following the merger with our Shamokin office, she enjoys helping those in need and giving back to their community.
