History of Booth Home

The Booth Home was opened in 1985, when The Salvation Army jail ministry recognized that some women, just released from incarceration, had no place to go. From 1985 through 1987, the home was open to women only. In 1988, The Salvation Army, in response to local need, expanded services to include single women and women with children. The Evangeline Booth Miracle Home is a four-story facility The first floor consists of the staff office and community spaces. Resident rooms are on the top three floors.

Evangeline Booth, the first woman General of The Salvation Army, motivated by faith devoted her life to selfless service to those in need.
