Fellowship Program

End Slavery Cincinnati offers volunteer and fellowship opportunities for students, post-graduates, and individuals who are just interested in getting involved and contributing to the work of the coalition.  Through these positions, fellows are given the opportunity to work first-hand in the human trafficking movement and in empowering survivors.

Due to the extensive training, professional development opportunities available with the fellowship program, and the high community interest, we ask that applicants be able to commit to volunteer at least 10-25 hours per week for approximately 3 months.

Applications are currently being accepted for the Summer and Fall Sessions.  Interviews will be scheduled immediately for Summer and through August for Fall.  Fellowship training and orientation will begin May 26th.  The application process for the Summer Session will close on May 1st.   The application process for the Fall Session will close on June 26th.

One of the coalition’s main goals is to increase the understanding of human trafficking in the greater Cincinnati area.

The Public Education Fellowship position requires a commitment of 12-25 hours a week for approximately three months.  Public Education Fellows will receive training regarding human trafficking and conducting human trafficking trainings.  Throughout the session, Public Education Fellows will assist in the coordination and development of End Slavery Cincinnati trainings and public education events, the development of training resources, and participate in public speaking events.

Volunteer Coordination Fellow

End Slavery Cincinnati has various volunteer opportunities with many community members engaging in these programs. The support of volunteers is crucial to maintaining capacity to engage in the community.

The Volunteer Coordination Fellowship position requires a commitment of 12-25 hours a week for approximately three months. The Volunteer Coordination Fellow will receive training on volunteer coordination protocols and systems. Responsibilities will include volunteer training, recruitment, participation in recruitment events, coordination of volunteer events, overall management and development of volunteer systems, support in the management of volunteers, and other responsibilities as needed.

Strong organizational skills are required.

Communications & Public Outreach Fellow

End Slavery Cincinnati is responsible for informing the community of human trafficking events, news and updates, how to recognize and report human trafficking, and its presence in the area.  Utilizing outreach and informational materials, social media, and communication outlets throughout the community are essential to the coalition’s work.

The Communications & Public Outreach Fellowship position requires a commitment of 12-25 hours a week for approximately three months.  Communication & Public Outreach Fellows will receive training regarding human trafficking and public outreach and communications systems.  During the session, Communication & Public Outreach Fellows will assist in the development and maintenance of outreach materials, communications systems, and marketing strategies to enhance the coalition’s capacity to inform and engage the community.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and/or a background in Graphic Design or Marketing is preferred.

Development Fellow

Development and fundraising is necessary for any non-profit.  In this position, the Development Fellow will assist and coordinate fundraising events, research funding opportunities, and assist with grant writing, grant maintenance, and in the development of a fundraising strategy.

The Development Fellowship position requires a commitment of 12-25 hours a week for approximately three months.  Development Fellows will receive training regarding human trafficking and fundraising techniques.

Previous development, fundraising, and/or event planning experience is a plus.

Legislation and Policy Fellow

Maintaining an awareness of local, state, and federal legislation and policy applications and initiatives is necessary for End Slavery Cincinnati to continue to respond to this issue in a holistic manner. In this position, the Legislation and Policy Fellow will support informing the community about legislation, support engaging relevant parties in the community to educate and inform local, state, and federal policy initiatives, and generally coordinate the legislative needs of the community.

The Legislation and Policy Fellowship position requires a commitment of 12-25 hours a week for approximately three months. Legislation and Policy Fellows will receive training on current local, state, and federal human trafficking legislation.

An understanding and interest in laws and policy is preferred.

MSW/BSW Internships/Field Placements
