Thanksgiving Christmas

2024 HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE

The Salvation Army remains on the frontlines of need, by providing assistance to struggling families throughout the entire year. Beyond providing Christmas gifts, our social services teams are helping families put food on the table, pay rent and utility bills, and keep a roof over their head.

At The Salvation Army, we see how families are still experiencing the ongoing impacts of the pandemic. If you and your family are in need of assistance, please reach out to your local Corps. Find a location near you here.

Throughout the City of Boston, The Salvation Army was able to distribute more than 12,000 gifts to over 2,200 households thanks to our generous donors in 2023.

Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution

*REGISTER FOR THANKSGIVING WITH YOUR LOCAL CORPS BELOW

Qualifying households of three or more, with at least one child under the age of 16 in their household, are encouraged to register to receive a Thanksgiving dinner. When registering, select the Corps that is listed beside your ZIP Code below.

Christmas Castle

Monday-Wednesday, December 9-11, 2024

Qualifying families with children aged 14 and under are invited to register for a scheduled time
to receive a food gift card and gifts for each child in the household.

Registration Opens November 11, 2024

Christmas Castle Requirements

Your registration will be confirmed once you complete the verification process.

Items needed for verification:

Birth Certificate of each child (in your household)
Financial need (MassHealth Card, WIC, SSI, current pay stub, etc.)
Photo ID (for each adult living in the household)
Proof of residence (current home, gas, cable, utility bill, etc.)

*ALL clients must provide child’s birth certificate, proof of residency,
photo ID, proof of financial need.
