Current group volunteer opportunities include:

Holidays: Discover the joy of giving back to your community during the giving season. Find an opportunity that's meaningful. Whether you choose to volunteer your time to help pack Thanksgiving meal bags, sort toys at a Christmas Distribution event near you, or get a group together to ring the bell at a Salvation Army Red Kettle, you'll make the holidays brighter for our communities in need  Please contact your local Salvation Army office to learn about the many ways your business can help us to do the most good.

Projects: From painting and building beautification to mentoring and playing with children, it takes a village!

Back-to-School Distribution: Salvation Army Corps and Services Units distribute thousands of back-to-school supplies annually thanks to help from corporate and community volunteer groups.

Camp Wonderland: Getting camp ready for the 1,000 kids who attend each summer is a big job! Each season, dedicated volunteer groups from high school services clubs and corporations return to help! Many choose to give employees a "Service Day" so they can get their hands dirty for a good cause.

Do you love working with children? Since its beginnings in 1865, The Salvation Army has always been committed to helping youth reach their full potential.

Volunteer opportunities exist in the following areas:

Teaching Assistants: Many children in our programs need extra educational support. Use your teaching skills to tutor, teach curriculum, or mentor a child (aged 2-7).

After School Programs: Help children build self-esteem, develop appropriate social behaviors, learn academic skills, be creative through arts and crafts projects, or have fun by planning special activities!

Teen Mentors: Youth benefit from close, caring relationships with adults who serve as positive role models. You can make a positive impact by becoming a role model, teacher, and adviser. Whether you plan social activities, coach sports, play games and music, or help with academic work, studies show that mentors can give youth the support, guidance, and opportunities to help youth succeed in life and meet their goals.
