We exist to meet human needs wherever, whenever, and however we can through programs that serve the mind, body, and soul.
Where do we serve?
Bayside, Beaver Dam, Bridgeton, Cedarville, Deerfield Street, Dividing Creek, Downe, Fairton, Fortescue, Greenwich (Cumberland County), Newport, Rosenhayn, Seabrook, Shiloh and Stow Creek is the area that we serve with joy!
The Salvation Army feeds an average of 156,000 every single day in the U.S.
In addition to addressing the immediate symptoms of food insecurity, our programs are designed to help identify and treat its root cause. This approach focuses on meeting the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of each person and helps move many from hungry to fully healed.
Traditional Sunday morning worship combines music, Scripture, prayer, and preaching to honor God and serve as a time of reverence and reflection on the Holiness of God. The mission of Sunday school is to develop Christ-like character in ordinary people through time-tested spiritual disciplines of Scripture study and memorization, prayer, and activities.
Bible Study meetings are designed to be both spiritual and educational. This program offers weekly time to study God’s Word and learn practical applications for the Bible’s teachings. It also includes a time of spiritual encouragement through prayer for the needs of individuals, families, the church, and communities.
By supplying free fresh produce, canned goods, and healthy frozen items, our food pantries provide valuable meal supplementation while helping those in need to maintain their independence and dignity.
We provide a to-go breakfast on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to those in need.
