Construction Company Donates Ramp to Local Family in Need

May 21, 2021

Warren, OH (May 21st, 2021) – Today, construction began at a local family’s home in Warren to install a new ramp access to their home. The ramp is a result of an in-kind donation, valued at $1,700, from Elysium, a local construction company. Elysium is a disabled veteran owned company that focuses on residential repairs. A ramp to the family’s home will help increase accessibility for their daughter, Layla, who was recently injured in an automobile accident.

Elysium wanted to make a lasting impact in Warren Community and on this family’s life.

“As soon as we heard this family’s story, we knew we wanted to help. It’s our role as community leaders and fellow fathers to help when a child is in need. Everyone deserves a safe space to call home,” said Scott Stoner, owner and founder of Elysium Construction & Consulting.

“We are so blessed for the generosity shown by Elysium to help our local community. Layla has been part of our Warren Corps Family since 2012. This donation by Elysium will help her and her family immensely,” stated Captain Christopher Williams, Commanding Officer The Salvation Army of Warren Corps Community Center.

The Salvation Army of Warren Corps Community Center will be providing support to both Layla and her family as they move forward after her accident.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Warren Corps has served over 4,000 meals from the food pantry, an increase of 32% over 2019, and over 3,600 individuals, an increase of 20% over 2019.
