The Salvation Army in Massillon celebrates the 25 Days of Christmas Match Campaign

Jan 18, 2022

Massillon, Ohio – (January 18th, 2022): The Salvation Army in Massillon, located at 315 Sixth St. NE in Massillon, has a bright outlook in 2022. The organization wrapped up its “25 Days of Christmas” campaign, which resulted in $6,672 raised to support programs that help those in need.

A component to the “25 Days of Christmas” campaign included a $2,600 match from ARC Randolph and Associates, LCC, made in honor of Amelia Nedelk. Amelia was the mother of Donna Nedelk, the President of ARC Randolph and Associates, LLC, a regulatory compliance and training company. Donna, now living in Pittsburgh, was born and raised in the Massillon area.

"My mother never told us to be generous or kind, but rather she modeled that behavior for us in everything she did, and for that, I'll be forever grateful. I am truly thankful for all of the local businesses and individuals who came together to support this campaign in honor of my mother. They are true blessings to the Massillon community," stated Nedelk.

The Salvation Army Christmas Campaign featured the iconic red kettles and toy distribution program. The Salvation Army raised $89,821 from the red kettles reaching 90% of their goal.  Funds raised during the holidays support feeding programs, activities for seniors, as well as other needs in the community.

“This campaign has helped so many in our community. It is a wonderful tribute to the memory and spirit of Amelia and will help us to continue to inspire others to live as she did,” said Major Perks
