After School Program

The Salvation Army of Summit County is pleased to serve our community by offering quality after-school care for our children. Important details about this program include:

Kindergarten through age 12

Christian environment and education

Our after-school program is Gold-Rated through Ohio's Step up to Quality Program. We provide students with homework assistance, afternoon snack, daily gross motor time either outdoors or inside our gymnasium, weekly faith-based learning and other extracurriculars at no additional cost.

Private Pay/Title XX/Child Care Choice Accepted

Transportation provided from Akron Public Schools and some Private Schools in the area.
(Please call to confirm which schools are on the transportation list)

Hours of Operation: Monday- Friday 3 pm-6 pm. On days APS is closed, and the Salvation Army is open, we provide all-day childcare for students enrolled in the after-school program. You will receive an annual calendar detailing which days provide all-day coverage.
