The Salvation Army Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation Army has been operating in Bangor, ME since 1886. Since its inception, The Salvation Army has provided its traditional services, assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing and counseling support for those who are rebuilding lives. The goal is to provide high quality services and support to those in need in our community. Last year, The Salvation Army in Bangor touched the lives of over 210,000 individuals, thereby providing essential services to this community.

WHERE WE ARE
The Salvation Army Bangor Corps has a nine-town service area, which includes: Bangor, Brewer, Exeter, Glenburn, Hermon, Kenduskeag, Levant, Orrington and Veazie.

The Salvation Army Bangor Corps is located in the heart of the city, 65 S. Park Street. This location is perfect for an organization that is devoted to meeting basic human needs, providing guidance and support to individuals, offering hope in the midst of hopelessness, and empowering families to improve the overall quality of their lives.

The Salvation Army is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
