The Salvation Army of Derry, NH has a response vehicle that responds to local and statewide fire scenes and other emergency scenes. Currently we have agreements with the following Fire Departments: Derry, Chester, Windham, & Auburn. We are also associated with the SNH SOU Team.

What We Do:

Our team is well trained to provide three areas of service.

Hydration: One of our purposes on scene is to hydrate the service personnel. Team members work in our canteen to serve the workers either food or drink.

Rehab: Our team is trained to perform a quick general assessment on every fire fighter that walks through our rehab area. This is a greatly needed service for the Fire Departments because it provides accountability with Fire Chiefs on how well maintained their crews are. Our team works with Paramedics on scene to provide this service.

Spiritual Availability: Sometimes fire scenes can become a tough place to be. Things happen, and people need an outlet to meet an emptiness sometimes caused by emergency scenes. The Salvation Army will also fill this gap and be available not only for service workers but for victims and their families.
