The Salvation Army provides spiritual services to anyone God brings across our path.
This foundation is what motivates us to do the work that we do
We operate over 7,500 worship and service centers in neighborhoods across the United States. Each center is a church to the local community, as well as place anyone in need can receive help with a wide range of social services. Worldwide, there are just over 2 million members of The Salvation Army's church. Many more attend services at The Salvation Army.
At its heart The Salvation Army is a church. This foundation is what motivates us to do the work that we do.
We love God and serve others because of His love for all. That’s where our mission comes from – to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet needs in His name without discrimination. We want to introduce the love of God into the lives of all who enter our doors. One way we do this is through committed Worship on Sunday Mornings for anyone who chooses to come.
The Salvation Army's centers for service, program, and worship are the local Corps/Citadel Community and Worship Centers. There are 20 sites located throughout Northern New England with varying expressions of worship. We would love to meet you!
Each Corps Officer (Ordained Minister) has been "commissioned" from The Salvation Army's School for Officer Training, and many have advanced degrees as well. Each Corps/Citadel Officer, whether a husband and wife team, or single men or women are equally ordained and function in all aspects of ministry.
All are welcome at our Salvation Army worship services on Sundays and weekday ministries. You don't need to have ever stepped into a church before to walk through our doors. We hope that you find our worship services to be inviting and God honoring. We’d love to see you anytime.

We want all those we meet to truly experience salvation found in Jesus Christ our Lord. You can follow the basic outline below, praying by faith. If you would like to talk to someone or attend a Salvation Army in your community to grow in your faith, please contact us for further prayer or guidance.
ABCs of Salvation:
Admit to God that you have sinned against Him. The Bible states that we are all born in sin, as long as we live on this earth, we will fall in to sin. Admitting our sin helps us to realize the need for a Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Bible says:
Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death (everlasting punishment), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
ABC's of Salvation:
Believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again. His blood was shed to pay for your sins. Believe because Jesus loves you so much that He gave His life for you.
The Bible says:
1 Corinthians 15:3b-4 “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
ABCs of Salvation:
Confess (share, testify) that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life! Having Jesus as Lord, means you allow Him to lead you through His Word, prayer and the fellowship of believers (church).
The Bible says:
Romans 10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"
