James "Jim" Falt, Scarborough, ME, has been supporting The Salvation Army since 1960

Oct 26, 2023

James "Jim" Falt, Scarborough, ME has been supporting The Salvation Army since 1960 and will continue to do so even after he's gone.

His connection began when a Salvation Army officer thanked Jim and his US Navy recruits as they boarded the bus to Navy boot camp. (Hear the story from Jim on our Facebook. )

He and his wife, Louise, established a charitable gift annuity with us in September of 2003, which pays them a fixed rate of return to supplement their retirement income. Anything remaining in the fund upon their passing will benefit those seeking support at the Portland, ME Corps.

The Falts are currently in the process of joining the Hope Brigade, our legacy society, which means The Salvation Army would be listed as a percentage beneficiary of their trust.

We are so grateful to Jim & Louise for their years of support! If you'd like to learn more about annuity funds, the Hope Brigade or any other aspects of Planned Giving at The Salvation Army, please contact Amy Anderson, Planned Giving Director: Amy.Anderson@use.salvationarmy.org
