Major Roger Duperree - Divisional Secretary for Rhode Island State Command
Major Roger Duperree has served in The Salvation Army’s Southern New England Division since June of 2016 and is currently the Divisional Secretary for the Rhode Island State Command. Prior to coming to Southern New England, Major Duperree was the Executive Director of the New York’s Capital Region and also served at The Salvation Army’s Territorial Headquarters in West Nyack, New York. He has been a Salvation Army Officer since 1983, with a short break from 2003 to 2007, where he held the position of Executive Director of the Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, in Lancaster County, PA. Major Duperree received a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Nyack College and a master's in business administration from Eastern University.
Major Duperree is married and is the father of 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. His wife, Major Carol Duperree, is the Assistant Divisional Secretary for The Salvation Army’s Rhode Island State Command. He is self-described as a passionate sports fan and a student of the game of football. Having grown up in Punxsutawney, PA (Weather Capital of the World – Home of Punxsutawney Phil), his allegiance lies with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
