How we help Equip Families and Individuals

The Salvation Army offers a helping hand for those who need a little nudge.  Helping in a practical way is how we believe we do the most good.  The following programs are available to residents who are in need of emergency assistance:

Alleviate Hunger

Partnered with the West Ohio Food Bank, The Salvation Army's food pantry provides groceries once a month for families and individuals in need. Food is offered at no-charge to the clients.

The food pantry is open every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 12pm.

*Deliveries are available on the 1st and 3rd Mondays for shut-ins.

Electric Assistance

*seasonal program: January through April

AES Ohio has partnered with The Salvation Army to provide emergency relief funding to customers who are facing disconnection and cannot pay their electric bills.

Anyone can get behind when unexpected things happen. The loss of a job, the death of a spouse, major medical bills or other financial hardships can come out of nowhere and make it difficult to stay current with your bills.

Please call 937.492.8412 for more information.

Holiday Assistance

Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system.

From gifts for children in need to special meals for those who would otherwise go without fellowship on the holidays and meeting other basic needs - we aim to bring joy back into the season.
