How we help Equip Families and Individuals

The Salvation Army offers a helping hand for those who need a little nudge.  Helping in a practical way is how we believe we do the most good.  The following programs are available to residents who are in need of emergency assistance:

Alleviate Hunger

We feed people, including the most vulnerable of our communities.

Salvation Army food pantries provide groceries for families and individuals in need. Food offered at no-charge to the clients.

Pantry: Monday- Thursday, 9am - 3pm
Weekly Community Feeding: Weds, 11am- 1pm

Utility Assistance

During a long, cold winter, your heat bill swells and you receive a notice from your energy provider that all utilities will be disconnected unless you can pay the overdue balance. Or, maybe a job loss forced you to choose between paying rent or paying your electric bill. This type of funding ebb and flows, but if we can help, we will as available.

Those seeking assistance should call (419) 910-9332

Clothing Vouchers

We provide clothing vouchers for those in need to purchase clothing at our thrift store.

Hygiene and Personal Products

As part of our food pantry, we provide hygiene items and diapers, as available, to those in need of those items.

Holiday Assistance

Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system.

From gifts for children in need to special meals for those who would otherwise go without fellowship on the holidays and meeting other basic needs - we aim to bring joy back into the season.
