Christmas Lights Collection Raises $6,500 for WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up

PITTSBURGH (March 6, 2023) – Michael Brothers Companies is turning old Christmas lights into bright smiles! The full-service source for waste removal and recycling presented a check of $6,500 to WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up. All funds were raised through the company’s annual Christmas Lights collection. Each year during the holiday season, Michael Brothers collects and recycles Christmas lights that people drop off at locations throughout the Pittsburgh area.
 
The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division and WTAE-TV are grateful for the ongoing partnership of Michael Brothers Companies. The $6,500 raised will provide approximately 65 children and seniors with NEW winter outerwear. Michael Brothers also partners with The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, helping distribute donated gifts and toys for local families.
 
Since its inception in 1986, WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up has raised $16.5 million, providing more than 300,000 children and older adults with NEW winter outerwear across Western Pennsylvania.
