Greg's Story
As Greg stood in the department store checkout line, you could tell by his little shuffling feet that his anticipation was building. While shopping with the Project Bundle-Up volunteer, he had been shy, not saying a word, only nodding yes or no when asked if something fit, and just barely cracking a smile when he saw himself in the mirror in a new winter hat. Now, Greg was standing on tiptoes, eyes wide as he craned his neck to see how many people were in front of them. It was as if he didn’t quite believe this was happening, until they made it to the cashier and heard the price scanner beep; it was then that Greg looked up at his volunteer shopper, and with a beaming smile confirmed, “I got a new coat!”
