The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services (EDS)

In the wake of a natural disaster, whether it be a smaller-scale event like flooding or more severe like a hurricane, The EDS team is there before, during, and after to help first responders and survivors overcome the hardships that have been heightened as a result of a disaster. We offer vouchers to assist with them with getting clothing, furniture, and all household items.

How we help meet the needs of disaster survivors:

Immediate Emergency Response

We respond to fires, floods, and other emergencies in Lock Haven and surrounding counties immediately. These immediate response activities include hot meals and shelter. We work diligently to ensure all needs are met in the wake of a disaster.

Shelters and Emergency Housing

In major disasters, we offer emergency housing to those affected, along with social services to meet other
needs in the meantime.

Vouchers

We offer vouchers to assist those impacted by disasters with getting clothing, furniture, and all household items. These vouchers are redeemable at The Salvation Army thrift store in
Lock Haven, PA.
