Thank You from Divisional Commander Lt. Colonel Edgar George, Jr.
Dear friends,
Thanks to your generosity and support, The Salvation Army’s 2025 Red Kettle Campaign raised more than $2.9 million across Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.
You helped make the season brighter for thousands of families. Because of you, a struggling parent could breathe a little easier. A child felt the joy of receiving a gift. A neighbor in crisis found comfort, dignity, and care. And whether you donated to a Red Kettle, gave online, volunteered your time, or simply shared words of encouragement, you made an impact.
Unfortunately, our communities’ needs continue all year long. One in eight people, including one in six children, still face hunger in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Roughly 40% of households across both Pennsylvania and Delaware earn above the poverty line but are still unable to afford basic household expenses.
That’s why your Red Kettle support matters.
Every dollar collected stays in our community, meeting the unique needs of our neighborhoods. And because our teams live and serve in the communities they support, they’re able to respond personally and quickly.
The Red Kettle Campaign has been part of The Salvation Army’s legacy for more than 134 years. It begins during the holidays, but its impact lasts all year long. Last year alone, support from our Division helped:
- Provide 7,052,334 meals
- House 4,321 families
- Distribute 211,563 toys to children during the holiday season
And this year, with your continued support, we’ll do even more.
I invite you to stay connected to your local Salvation Army Corps, lend your time as a volunteer, or simply help spread the word about what we do. Together, we are building stronger communities and delivering help and hope wherever it’s needed most.
With gratitude,
Lt. Colonel Edgar George, Jr.
Divisional Commander
