We fight poverty with love

By providing programs that serve the body, mind and soul, The Salvation Army helps alleviate the symptoms of poverty - and works to address the root issues that cause it.

Approximately 15% of Cattaraugus County lives below the poverty line

We strive every day to be a support to those living in poverty. Our greatest goal is to break the cycle of poverty and see individuals someday return to independence.

How we help overcome poverty

Emergency Food Pantry
Our food pantry is available to residents of Cattaraugus County. A cart of bread and perishable donations is available to anyone.

Utility Assistance (By Appointment Only)
We can help residents of Cattaraugus County pay off shutoff notices for electricity, water, and gas. Call us at 716-372-6740 to schedule an appointment for utility assistance.
