National Salvation Army Week

National Salvation Army Week Image

National Salvation Army Week is a time to celebrate The Salvation Army's volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries. It's also a time to connect with our community and remind the of the many services we provide.

In 2025 we'll spotlight our Rochester area shelters, that offer over 20,000 nights of warmth and protection to the unhoused each year. We'll also promote the many resources our Emergency Family Services/Pantry provides to the public, and how our three Thrift Stores support our Adult Rehabilitation Center while helping others with low-cost furniture, clothing & more.

Join us in this fun celebration of "Doing the Most Good!" Pick your service and host a collection that supports it's cause, then join us for a donation day with treats and photo opportunities:

  • SHELTER COLLECTION: Collect items in need for those staying with us while they are unhoused. Get your office, church, school or local club to do this as a group activity! Bring your items to our drop off day Tuesday, May 13th from 3:30 to 4:30pm.
  • EMERGENCY FAMILY SERVICES/PANTRY COLLECTION: Host a nonperishable food drive to help fill our emergency pantry shelves. Other items like hygiene products and diapers are welcome too! Bring your items to our drop off day Thursday, May 15th from 3:00 to 4:00pm.
  • THRIFT STORE COLLECTION: Load up and drop off, any time between 9:00am and 4:00pm on Friday, May 16th! We'll host a Rochester Eastside and and Westside location for your household items, bagged clothing, toys, small furniture and more. Locations TBD.
