1) Volunteer to deliver donuts to a local, service department Click here to register and help us on Donut Day, June 5th
2) "Bake and Take" donuts out into the community. Share them with a lonely neighbor, a friend who's down, or someone who's struggling. Scroll down to get our traditional donut recipe!
3) Adopt a local front line or essential worker organization. Bring a dozen donuts to their location in thanks for their good work. Take a picture while delivering and post with hashtags #DonutDay and #DonutsForHeroes
3) Nominate a Rochester area organization to receive donuts on Donut Day. This organization must provide essential or front line support to receive donuts on June 3rd. This includes local 911/emergency departments, urgent healthcare facilities, military units, facilities that care/provide essentials to the elderly/disabled, production or food processing locations, janitors and maintenance workers, agricultural workers, truck drivers, educators, etc.. The simple doughnut became a symbol of all the Salvation Army was doing to ease the hardships of the front line fighters. "Bake and Take" donuts out into the community just like they did in 1917!
