Women’s Ministries was first called Ladies Home League. It was founded in 1907 in London, England by Florence Booth as a “help one another society” for women who wished to learn current principles of economy, cooking, health and hygiene—informed not only by “the best authorities in Great Britain, but also from comrades in other lands.”  It is international in membership and one of the largest Christian women’s organizations in the world, totaling more than 750,000 members in 2017.

In 1994, the Home League changed to Women’s Ministries. The program still aims to meet the needs of women of all ages. Today we provide programming for worship, education, fellowship and service opportunities, as well as creative outreach and focus group ideas that meet needs of local women. We provide materials on evangelism and discipleship of women, as well as Christian formation and life issues. The mission of Women's Ministry is to bring women into the knowledge of Jesus Christ and encourage their full potential.

Women play a vital and dynamic role in home and family life. They also play an important role in shaping society. Women’s Ministries provide opportunities and activities for personal development and enrichment based on the fourfold program—worship, education, service and fellowship.
