Hero Society

Become A Hero

The Salvation Army Hero Society

The Hero Society is a simple way to give monthly, helping to sustain the 33 programs that serve more than 35,000 people throughout Onondaga County.

Whether it’s teaching independent living skills to adults or helping children learn and grow at our Early Childhood Center, your gift is vital to providing year-round support to those who need it most.

How it works

Your gift, in any amount, is debited directly from your credit card each month, so you can eliminate checks (and the need for monthly mailings!)

Why give to the Hero Society?

The Hero Society provides an easy way to help the Syracuse Area programs on an ongoing basis, such as:

The Ethel T. Chamberlain Women's Shelter & Residence, providing housing assistance to more than 100 women in a single year
The Emergency Food Pantry, currently serving 18,000 meals each month
The Senior Social Day Program, providing two meals a day to seniors while giving them a place to socialize
Early Childhood Education programs, offering a safe, healthy learning environment for infants through pre-K
