What: The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland is receiving a delivery of donated food from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Over 20,000 pounds of food is being donated to address food insecurity throughout Cuyahoga County. This donation comes at a critical time of the year as families face increased costs for food, inflation continues to rise, and wages remain stagnant.

Why: The Salvation Army and The Church of Jesus of Latter-Day Saints are focused on the fight against hunger throughout Northeast Ohio. This food donation will support a pledge of 40 tons of food will be donated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and delivered to and distributed by The Salvation Army. According to Feeding America, 18.4% of residents in Cuyahoga County are food insecure.
