The Salvation Army offers Cooling Centers during excessive temperatures

Cleveland, OH (June 24, 2025) – The Salvation Army in Greater Cleveland will open its doors to serve as cooling centers and provide shelter throughout the summer months, offering relief from the area's high temperatures, which can reach 80s to 90+ degrees. The Salvation Army aims to provide a haven for community members seeking relief from the heat. Those seeking relief from the heat will be supplied with cold refreshments and snacks.

  • The Salvation Army Ohio City Corps:  4402 Clark Ave., Cleveland, OH 44109 | Phone: (216) 631-1515 Monday through Friday: 8 am to 4 pm
  • The Salvation Army Temple Corps:  17625 Grovewood Ave., Cleveland, OH 44119 | Phone: (216) 692-1388 Monday through Friday: 9 am to 6 pm
  • The Salvation Army West Park Corps:  12645 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113 | Phone: (216) 252-3593 Monday through Friday: 9:30 am to 4 pm
