Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.
The Salvation Army’s approach to feeding the hungry is formed based on the local needs of each community we serve.
The Salvation Army of Trenton and Newark each operate a mobile canteen feeding program serving homeless individuals living on the streets of Trenton and Newark. The goal of these programs is to provide for emergency food needs and to link individuals to supportive services.
All Salvation Army Corps Community Centers have food pantries on site to help meet emergency needs. Typical items in pantries include canned goods and other non-perishable items. For more information, please call The Salvation Army closest to you or Salvation Army State Headquarters at 908-851-9300 for the appropriate local contact.
Congregate feeding programs for homeless and near homeless are operated in various Salvation Army facilities. Please call for the days and hours of operation.
