We are an inclusive community offering both church and social services. Anyone is welcome to attend our church services, we extend our hand of service to those in need who live in Arrowhead Lake, Baker Mill Pond, Beach Glen, Boonton, Budd Lake, Denville, Dover, Flanders, Hibernia, Hopatcong, Kenvil, Lake Hiawatha, Lake Hopatcong, Landing, Ledgewood, Mine Hill, Montville, Mountain Lakes, Mount Arlington, Mount Olive, Mount Tabor, Netcong, Newton, Picatinny Arsenal, Randolph, Rockaway, Roxbury, Sparta, Stanhope, Succasunna, Towaco, Victory Gardens, Wharton and Youngstown.

The Salvation Army of Dover offers a variety of services to our community. Our social service program helps meet the basic needs of daily life. We have a food pantry, diaper bank, and soup kitchen; we help with financial assistance for rent and utilities, temporary emergency lodging, and emergency vouchers for clothing, furniture, and prescriptions. Referrals will be given for services that The Salvation Army Dover Corps does not provide. For assistance, please schedule an appointment with our case manager, Fanny Torres at (973)-366-0764.
Feeding the hungry warm meals on Fridays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm from our canteen. Weather permitting.
Our food pantry is accessible once a month. Hygiene kits are provided upon request. Emergency food assistance is made available as per need.
Our diaper bank is provided through the Morris County Diaper Bank. It is accessible once a month. The sizes range from newborn to adult diapers. Please call ahead to make sure that we have the size you need available.
For help with pet food, the food bank provided through Saint Hubert’s is available at our location on the third Friday morning of the month. Schedule and weather permitting.
Our soup kitchen is accessible every Sunday after service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am for those looking for a home-cooked meal.
The Dover Corps offers a camp program of 6 weeks. This program includes breakfast, lunch, and fun trips weekly! Slots are limited. For details on cost or dates please call the office in April. Employment opportunities as a supervisor and counselors are available for this program.
The Dover Corps offers three different camp sessions: Music and Arts, Time Travel Champions, and Sports and Fitness camps. Spots are limited!
The Red Kettle Campaign is our biggest fundraiser in which we raise money for all of our programs through our bell ringers who can be found at various shopping locations. Show your support of The Salvation Army by volunteering or donating during this season. Employment opportunities are also available from November to December. Stop by our office to pick up an application!
Our Christmas program helps children in need of gifts during the holiday season. Registration is held in the first two weeks of September as spots are available. The Salvation Army is always looking for new partnerships! If you would like to support us in our effort, please contact our office.
Clients active in our Food Pantry can sign-up to receive a turkey and Thanksgiving fixings. Please call our office to inquire about registration during the month of September or alternatively check our Facebook page. Spots are limited.
Distribution of backpacks with school supplies. To register call the office during the first week of August. Any donations would greatly help us in our effort.
Breakfast is open to all those in need of a warm plate on Thanksgiving morning.
Programs that require an application process include: Food Pantry, Diaper Bank, Back-to-school, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.
