We serve the Morristown Community Image

We serve the Morristown Community

We exist to meet human needs wherever, whenever, and however we can through programs that serve the mind, body, and soul.

Where do we serve?

The Morristown Corps of The Salvation Army is a vibrant part of the Morris County community that offers both church and social services.

The Salvation Army feeds an average of 156,000 every single day in the U.S.

In addition to addressing the immediate symptoms of food insecurity, our programs are designed to help identify and treat its root cause. This approach focuses on meeting the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of each person and helps move many from hungry to fully healed.

The Salvation Army meets the needs of Morristown through:

Worship Services and Sunday School

Traditional Sunday morning worship combines music, Scripture, prayer and preaching to honor God and serve as a time of reverence and reflection on the Holiness of God. The mission of Sunday school is to develop Christ-like character in ordinary people through time-tested spiritual disciplines of Scripture study and memorization, prayer, and activities.

Childcare Center

In the area of Morristown, there is a high population of low-income families who need childcare. The Salvation Army Early Childcare Center provides a high-quality educational program to children ages 1 to 5 years old. Our program is in partnership with the Morris School District to provide comprehensive education to our preschool population. The hours of operation are 7:00am-5:00pm and we serve breakfast, lunch, and snack at no cost to our families. To maintain these high-quality standards and provide well-rounded programs to families in the community, our center is rated 3-STARS by Grow NJ Kids, a state organization commissioned to improve the quality of childcare centers. With Grow NJ Kids participation and school district partnership, we continue to increase our services to the families of Morristown.

Praise Team Rehearsal

Our praise team, which leads worship every Sunday, holds its rehearsals on Friday evenings at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m..
