How We Help

Every day, we help people throughout Orrville, Dalton, Kidron, and Marshallville and North Lawrence. We offer unique, local programs, designed to meet the specific needs of our community.

Christmas Programs

Angel Tree, gifts for children birth to 12th grade and a family gift. Community Food Drive Christmas Food Box, approximately 100 lbs. of non-perishable food, Christmas meat and milk. Register in our office beginning in October.

Back-To-School Supplies

Basic school supplies provided to participating families. Register in our office beginning in July.

Easter Food Basket

Food and recipes for an Easter meal plus kid’s activities provided. Register in our office in early March.

Summer Camp-In-A-Bag

A duffel bag full of enrichment activities, crafts, indoor/outdoor games, activity schedules and more. Available to students age 3-14. Register in our office beginning in May.

Food Pantry

We are a full-time food pantry and food is available for pick-up M-F during our office hours. You can receive food 1x a month from our pantry.

Utility Assistance

We assist with utility disconnections and that is available 1x per fiscal year. Additional assistance is dependent upon available funding.

Limited Rental Assistance

We may be able to assist with a portion of one month’s back rent. No security deposit assistance is available.

Prescription, Transportation, & Clothing

Prescription assistance is available on a limited basis. We are unable to help with narcotics or sleep aids. Additionally, we can assist with gasoline vouchers for medical appointments. Clothing vouchers are available for local thrift stores. Miscellaneous assistance based on need.

Camp NEOSA

Camp NEOSA is a residential summer camp in Carollton, OH. Children ages 6-12 can attend camp for FREE.

Strive 2 Thrive

This program exists to empower individuals to make life changes by learning problem solving and decision-making skills to achieve better stability in their daily lives. This program can include goal setting and accountability with the program coordinator.
