Year-Round Programs

Community Meals: Service is available from Monday - Friday 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. 

Red Shield Homeless Day Shelter Services: Red Shield is available from Monday - Friday 6:45 am to 1:00 pm

Pathway of Hope (POH): POH is a ministry that seeks to support families to become self-sufficient, thus breaking the cycle of generational poverty. For more information, call (440) 354-3774.

The Learning Zone: The main objective of The Learning Zone is to provide and support educational opportunities for people of all ages.

  • The After-School Learning Center provides academic, emotional, social and spritaul growth.
  • English Language, budgeting, parenting and health & nutrition classes for adults
  • Harvey Connection: An educational support program for students with social-emotional concerts offered through the "Learning Zone". Students are identified by Painesville City Schools.
  • Summer Day Camp for children

Seasonal Programs

Painesville/Concord Youth Basketball League: Offered during winter.

Holiday Assistance: We provide holiday food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas. During Christmas, our Angel Tree program provides families with toys and new clothes.

Senior Programs: During the Christmas season, we distribute gifts to nursing home residents. 

School Supplies: Every year, we provide school supplies to a large segment of Painesville City Schools households as well as  surrounding Lake County school districts.

Social Services:

Rent & Utility Assistance: This service is provided as long as resources are available.

Our Leadership

Salvation Army Programs are led by Salvation Army Officers. These officers are responsible to lead by assessing needs, delivering programs and directing ministries for our local community. From serving food to balancing the books, they function as the Executive Directors and the Pastors for the Seed Content Setup.
