Since its earliest days, The Salvation Army has worked to free men, women and girls from the abuse and exploitation of labor and sexual trafficking.  Since May 2007, The Salvation Army in Central Ohio has taken a lead role in addressing and combating the growing problem of human trafficking in Central Ohio.  The Salvation Army serves as a primary victim services provider, offering these services for survivors:

  • Managing 24-hour hotline response for Central Ohio's fourteen-county area, staffing all calls from the National Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-373-7888)
  • 24-hour in-person emergency response to assist survivors
  • Long-term comprehensive case management to help survivors build stability outside of the trafficking situation
  • Weekly Street Outreach to engage survivors trafficked on the streets of Columbus
  • Weekly Drop-In Center, The Well, for women trafficked in the sex industry
  • Trauma and addiction groups to help survivors heal

Additionally, The Salvation Army in Central Ohio is proud to be the Coalition Manager for the Central Ohio Reach and Restore Coalition (CORRC), a network of more than 100 organizations working together to raise awareness and build a strong network of services for trafficking survivors.

Visit the CORRC website or click here for the Coalition's calendar of events and volunteer training schedules.
