Smiles Make the Greatest Gifts Image

Smiles Make the Greatest Gifts

Providing physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance,
to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions.

Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system.

The Salvation Army helps make
spirits brighter during the Holidays through:

Christmas Assistance

The holidays bring added financial and emotional stress to families and individuals living in poverty. From gifts for children in need to special meals for those who would otherwise go without fellowship on the holidays and meeting other basic needs - we aim to bring joy back into the season.

Angel Tree

Our Angel Tree program provides toys to kids who otherwise might not find anything under the tree on Christmas morning.

For information on registration, please call (513) 423-9452

Food baskets

The Salvation Army helps bring people together for the holidays by providing food items needed for a traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at home.

Nursing Home Visitations

We visit people in nursing homes, group homes, veterans' facilities, mental health facilities, hospitals, and private homes where individuals are isolated and unable to connect and communicate with people in the outside world. We provide a spiritual and social ministry to those who are sick, handicapped, elderly, and those who are lonely and discouraged.

Coats and winter gear for youth

As part of our Angel Tree programs, kids will have the opportunity to receive articles of clothing that they need along with their other gifts.

Give someone the gift of Christmas.
