How we help Equip Families and Individuals

The Salvation Army offers a helping hand for those who need a little nudge.  Helping in a practical way is how we believe we do the most good.  The following programs are available to residents who are in need of emergency assistance:

Rent Assistance

When you don’t know where the money for your next rent payment is coming from, call us see if funding is available for rent assistance. This type of funding ebb and flows, but if we can help, we will.

Those seeking assistance should call (513) 423-9452

Utility Assistance

During a long, cold winter, your heat bill swells and you receive a notice from your energy provider that all utilities will be disconnected unless you can pay the overdue balance. Or, maybe a job loss forced you to choose between paying rent or paying your electric bill. We can help.

Those seeking assistance should call (513) 423-9452

Hygiene Products

As part of our food pantry, we provide hygiene products and personal dignity items to anyone who is need.

Available Monday- Friday, 8 am - 12 pm

Damon Park Safe House

The Safe House at Damon Park is a recovery support center.

We offer those dealing with an addiction, those in recovery from addiction and their families support by: providing support groups, education, and resource info about addiction treatment as well as opportunities for sober social and recreational activities.

Holiday Assistance

Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system.

From gifts for children in need to special meals for those who would otherwise go without fellowship on the holidays and meeting other basic needs - we aim to bring joy back into the season.
