Too Many Feel the Pain of Hunger

Every day The Salvation Army helps to alleviate hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need

According to the USDA, more than 38 million people in the United States are food insecure. The pandemic has increased food insecurity among families with children, with nearly 12 million children facing hunger.

Emergency Food Pantries, Soup Kitchens, and other feeding initiatives are offered through our Corps Community Centers to help those facing food insecurity for themselves and their families.

Our local programs, which aim to address and end food insecurity, are listed below.

Food Pantry

No one should ever go a day without a meal or feel ashamed about asking for help accessing food. That’s why we provide hot meals and free groceries year-round to anyone who needs them. Our Food Pantry is open Monday - Thursday by appointment from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Call (610) 867-4681 for more information.

Soup Kitchen

Our Soup Kitchen is open for those in need on Sundays at 1:00 PM. We also hold our weekly Soup and the Word program, a Bible Study that meets every Wednesday at 11:30 AM for those who are interested in growing spiritually. After studying the Bible, participants are invited to enjoy a light lunch together. There is no cost for the Bible study or the lunch.
