Dear friends,
Last year, thanks to the generosity of donors and volunteers like you, our Red Kettle Campaign provided 7,569,988 meals to those experiencing food insecurity. We housed 307,361 individuals, and we distributed 181,512 toys to children during the holiday season.
This year, because of your continued support, we will build on these efforts. I am happy to announce that the 2024 Red Kettle Campaign raised more than $3 million across Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. These funds will remain in our local communities where they were received, ensuring continued support for local programs and services that bring hope and help to our neighbors every day.
At a time when homelessness in the U.S. increased by 18.1% and 38% just in Philadelphia, and food prices have continued to soar, more families than ever are turning to us for help. Thanks to your generosity, we are ready to meet these challenges, offering support and hope where it’s needed most. From keeping a family’s home warm on a cold winter night to filling an empty pantry when families must choose between food and rent, or providing a safe, nurturing space for children to learn and grow after school while parents work extra shifts, every donation provides a lifeline in times of need.
To everyone who donated, volunteered, or supported us during this season of giving—thank you.
While the holidays may be over, our work continues. I invite you to stay connected to our mission. There are opportunities to get involved and give back at local Corps in your community every day. Maybe you’ll join us at a meal distribution, volunteer as a summer camp counselor, or donate unused items to one of our thrift shops. No gift or action goes unnoticed or unappreciated for those we serve.
